Pavement Overbanding

Overbanding is a vital process for sealing cracks in roads or surfaces caused by wear and tear, or for sealing joints between old and new surfaces following repairs or resurfacing. It is essential for:

  • Preventing Further Damage: overbanding protects surfaces from water, dirt, or spillages, preventing surface fretting and degradation.
  • Sealing Cracks Effectively: the overbanding process seals the crack by overlapping both sides of the joint up to 200mm, ensuring no harmful substances penetrate the crack.

Our Overbanding Methods

We offer two methods of overbanding, each tailored to project needs. The method chosen depends on the project requirements, including the materials on either side of the crack and the intended use of the surface:

  • Hot Applied Material: ideal for sealing and overbanding cracks on roads, highways, and other asphalt or concrete surfaces.
  • Cold Applied Resins: typically used for specific applications such as car parks, airport fuelling areas, or locations requiring fuel-resistant properties.

Commitment to Quality & Safety

Both overbanding methods are HAPAS approved, ensuring compliance with industry standards for quality and safety. We prioritise high skid resistance in our overbanding solutions, reducing the risk of slipping or skidding, especially in wet conditions. This is crucial maintaining a safe environment.
